INTEPRETATION & REPRESENTATION (PRINCIPLES, TECTONICS, SENSORY)

Duration :  6 weeks

Submission Requirement :  Online presentation & Presentation Slides, 1 model (1:10/1:20), 6 presentation boards (maximum)

In this project, students will have to look back at the tectonic structure in project 2, and deconstruct layer by layer. From there, students will identify a dominant theme from the understanding of design elements and principles and enhance the structure to create a poetic architectural representation and own reinterpretation of tectonic. The size of the structure should be within 20 m3.

HEAD-SPACE

 

Reading begins in my early childhood and continues through the senior years. It is one of the ways for us to learn and obtain knowledge. A quiet and peaceful space to sit and read is all I needed. Sitting in a quiet space and reading helps me to be less depressed and it also acts as a way of keeping my mind engaged as I grow older which also shows a heightened ability to understand the feelings and beliefs of others. A good amount of rest is needed before i can start my reading. I would like to sit comfortably in a space where I can escape from the outside world.

 

Theme : Line + Rhythm

Intention : To design a dynamic space for user to motivate them to read. A comfortable, calm and quiet space for people to read and rest
