DISABILITY EXPERIENCE PAVILION

Duration : 3 weeks

Submission Requirement : 1x A1 Presentation Board, Models (Digital / Physical)

We were assigned into a group of 3 and were given the task of selecting a disabilities and conduct further research. Following the selected of disabilities, we are to design an experience pavilion according to the targeted user needs.

This group project allows us to explore the different types of spatial qualities through identify and apply. My group consist of 3 members. The disability that we had chosen is the "aspergers". We conducted in depth research and apply it into our architectural design with the addition of how materials affect the poetics and atmosphere of the space, in relation to the user needs.

Reflection

Upon the completion of this assignment, I would say it was fun for me because I get to improve my rendering skills and teamwork skills at the same time. Also, I had a great time with my teammates for this assignment because we had a lot of useful discussion.

Overall, I am satisfied with the outcome as we were able to justify our design with our enormous amount of research on the "aspergers", and also the physical models were great too.
