TECTONICS (DESIGN PRINCIPLES, ANTHROPOMETRY, ERGONOMICS)

Submission Requirement : Verbal Presentation, 1 Model (1:10,20), 1 joinery model (1:1), 3 Presentation Boards, 2 Tattoo Stamps

In this project, timber will play a significant role along with 3 supporting materials (steel, tensile fabric and rope). Students are expected to understand the nature, characteristics of the material provided and also how it can be used in the our design.

The next step is to amalgamate the design intention (learned from project 1) and structure into our Tectonic with anthropometry and ergonomics. Students had to choose a common banal action (walking, standing, sitting, leaning, sleeping, and running) and study the beauty in the movement of this commonality.
